Land of Water

Walking on a land of water

Drenched from head to toe

I heard the water play some music

In its orchestral flow.



Falling on the dense leaves

The shower tinkled down

Puddles around, for me to clown

Several muddy and brown.



Here a slosh &

There a slosh

A jump, a skip, a roll

Danced away with nature’s percussion

My merry little soul.



Gurgle-ish and Burble-ish

A musician I heard

Walked across into the woods

A stream I discovered



Twitter-a-Tick-a

Chitter-a-chick

The birds were fluting on

Ding-a-dong Oh sing-a-song

We all coo-ed along



A distant beat, which joined the feat

Announced its presence then

Looked towards the mighty hills lined with

White clothed men



A tap dance on the rocky floor

With the beat of our rhythm

They performed to complete the show

A jazzy one to fathom



Green & Blue & White & Brown

Our dress codes did the trick

Brilliant artists they were deemed

Nature’s rarest pick!

A Brave Heart!

The sun shone mildly in her balcony lovingly caressing her feet and face as she sat at the open door with her laptop sitting on her long spread legs as she typed her thoughts out. The winters were very cold this year. Public holidays and weekends were the only days when one could soak in the warm daylight in Delhi. The sun had a healing effect on her both physically and emotionally. Delhi had given her a lot and also taken a lot from her. What it couldn’t take and no one ever could take from her was her writing. Writing was therapeutic to her. As her face now basked in its brilliance, the sun brought back memories of the past years making her feel lucky for what she had in life.  Her balcony looked out into a beautiful square shaped garden with flowering plants on all sides and a well-kept bed of grass in the middle. Travels Across the UK : Dover

Dover in its entirety has only been captured in my memory. I have not a single photo of it. Reason being, I visited Dover at the peak of March when the spring is still breaking the winter and the fog doesn’t budge. The fog was so thick that we ourselves couldn’t see 10 feet ahead of us. Clicking photos in such weather was absolute waste of time. Dover is a small town in the county of Kent on the eastern coast of England. It is host to a major port and is one of the links of England to France. So much so that the sign boards on the streets of Dover are in both English and French. Despite the trade route, Dover is a small insignificant place. Everything is at a 20 min walking distance. The roads are narrow and the people are simple.
