Episode Technosphinx 2010

The eve of Technosphinx 2010 (26th March 5 p.m. and onwards):
Team Technosphinx was in a hurry. Plenty of work was to be done before the hour of the event arrived. We hardly had time. Our t-shirts were still not ready for the event. We had just received our event flexes and we all were busy decorating the college. Our theme was Egyptian.  Neha ( C-roglyph Head-CH1) came in announcing the arrival of badges. I looked at mine. It said, " DEEPTI TAGARE- Publicity Incharge". There was a feeling of joy mixed with pride and excitement! Anxiousness had started creeping in. We called up the T-shirt guy and he said," Madam Kal leke jao na. Abhi ready nahi hain!?!" All of us were torn apart. He actually had the guts to say that we should collect our t shirt on the morning of our event. We decided that we would barge into his shop and take away the t-shirts in whatever condition. Apoorva (Event Head-EH), Mugdha( Team Scriptech and Publicity Co-Head! ;-)-Gudda ) and myself ( Publicity Incharge- PI ) set on to the task. We went to the T-shirt shop. Its shutters were down. Shocked at the situation we asked Gudda to inquire in the neighboring shop. She opened the door of the shop and pressed a button which she thought was a door bell. "Whoop!" the lights went off! ;-)  (It was a switch!!!). She was fortunately quick to realize and switched it on again. But the damage was done. Or should i say 'Our job was done!' . The shop owner came running out to which Gudda reacted " Wo T-shirt wale bhaiyya shop me nahi hain??" At this EH and I started laughing uncontrollably. The shopkeeper's reaction was " To main kya karun?" This is called adding fuel(fun) to fire(our riot of laughter). After a second thought the shopkeeper realized what had happened and directed us to the correct building. Once we found the new shop location we almost brought it down. Just then CH1 called up and informed that the owners of the shop had immediately gone to the shirt printing location and they were trying to finish it as quickly as possible. He offered to deliver the T-shirt as soon as they were ready at CH1's place. It was 8.30 p.m. by then. We agreed. We also came to know that our certificates would be delivered to one of our places soon. With nothing to do now, we turned back home.
Meanwhile, Prachi (Treasurer-T) and Renuka (C-roglyph Head- CH2) had to get the C-coding MCQ papers photocopied for the next day.  I met them on my way back. They told me that there was no electricity in their area and so they could not get the paper photocopied. The only positive part was we could get the components for our on the spot event. " If not competitions,we will atleast be able to conduct our on the spot events!" we all agreed. Hoping everything would go fine we went home.
Later in the night:  There was electricity in college area- meaning- CH2 and T got the photo copies. Certificates were delivered at Gudda's place well in time. Two tasks accomplished. Gudda dutifully delivered them to EH's place.(Guddeshwar ki jay!).
Even Later: 12 am: I messaged CH1 to confirm the arrival of T-shirts. "I'll let you know when I get them.", was all that she replied. I dozed off...I suddenly woke up with my phone vibrating under my pillow.  A msg from CH1 said " Got the T-shirts finally." I was relieved even in my sleep mode. But, I realized. 'What is the time?' My mobile said 1.40 a.m. 'OMG!', that is all i could think before i fell asleep again. A long day was awaiting me...

To be continued...
